Pharmacy & Healthcare Website Design in Kenya

We have built websites and platforms for five pharmacies and health businesses in Kenya. Each one is designed for trust, speed on a phone and easy enquiries.

  • 5 healthcare projects
  • From KES 15,000
  • Enquiries on WhatsApp
  • Branch finder & maps

What a pharmacy or clinic website needs to do

Most people who look up a chemist or clinic want four answers: are you open, where exactly are you, do you have what I need, and can I talk to someone. A good healthcare site answers all four on a phone screen within seconds.

Branches, maps and hours

A page for each branch with a Google Map, directions from a known landmark, phone number and opening hours, including weekends and public holidays. Customers looking for a late-night chemist check this first.

Services, not just products

BP checks, blood sugar tests, consultations and any other in-store services you offer, each with a short explanation and whether a booking is needed. These are what bring people through the door.

Delivery areas

A clear list of the estates and towns you deliver to, delivery fees in KES, cut-off times and how payment works, whether M-Pesa on order or on delivery.

OTC and wellness catalogue

Over-the-counter, personal care, baby and wellness products with photos and prices, searchable by category. This is the part that can take orders online.

Prescription enquiries to a pharmacist

Instead of a checkout for prescription medicines, the customer sends their prescription and question to your pharmacist on WhatsApp. A qualified person reviews every request.

Trust signals

Your PPB premises licence details, the superintendent pharmacist's name, your physical address and real photos of the premises. Patients are right to be cautious, so show them who you are.

How a prescription enquiry works on your site

Simple for the customer, and every decision stays with your pharmacist.

1

Customer sends the request

They tap "Ask a pharmacist" on your site, which opens WhatsApp with a ready message. They attach a photo of the prescription and say which branch suits them.

2

Your pharmacist reviews it

A pharmacist checks the prescription, asks any questions, and confirms availability and price in the same chat.

3

Collection or delivery

The customer collects in store or gets it delivered, following your normal dispensing procedures. The website never supplies medicine by itself.

Compliance

Designed with Pharmacy and Poisons Board rules in mind

Health products are regulated in Kenya, and so is how you promote them online. We build with the rules below in mind, but your licence is your responsibility, so confirm the details with the PPB.

This is general information, not legal or regulatory advice. At the time of writing (September 2026) the PPB publishes its guidelines, including those on advertising and promotion of health products and on internet pharmacy services, on its website. Check the current versions or contact the Board before launching online sales.

  • No public advertising of prescription-only medicines. PPB guidance restricts promoting prescription-only medicines to the general public, so we keep them out of your catalogue, banners and offers.
  • OTC and wellness products only in the shop. The online catalogue is built around products that can be sold without a prescription.
  • A pharmacist in the loop. Prescription requests go to a qualified person, not an automatic checkout.
  • Honest product information. No exaggerated health claims or "cure" language in product descriptions or page copy.
  • Registered premises, shown clearly. Pharmacy services should come from licensed premises, and patients can check a pharmacy's registration on the PPB online portal. Showing your licence details helps them do that.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a pharmacy website cost in Kenya?

A pharmacy or clinic information site starts at KES 15,000. A site with a product catalogue and online ordering is built on our E-Commerce package from KES 50,000.

Can a pharmacy sell medicines online in Kenya?

Pharmacies must follow the Pharmacy and Poisons Board rules, which restrict how prescription-only medicines are advertised and supplied. We design catalogues for over-the-counter and wellness products and route prescription requests to your pharmacist, but check current PPB guidance for your licence.

Can customers send prescriptions through the website?

Yes. We can add a prescription enquiry that goes to your team on WhatsApp or email, so a pharmacist reviews every request before anything is supplied.

Do you work with clinics and health startups too?

Yes. Our healthcare work includes pharmacies, a pharmaceutical partner and health technology products.
